Riding Over Hills and Valleys: Reflections from a Baby Boomer

Annie Oakley was my idol. I dreamed of becoming a strong woman just like her. Growing up in the 1950s on the South Side of Chicago, I was part of a loving family that gave me a good foundation on which to build my dreams. But, like most, I encountered some obstacles along the way. Spanning several decades, this memoir chronicles the triumphs and tragedies in my own life as well as in our ever-changing country.
