Emily Henry's (not anymore) new book was all over Instagram, so my expectations were astronomically high. It was my first book by this author and I kind of understand the hype but for me it was just a good book and nothing more. I really like her style with many smirks and laughs. I also liked the characters: Daphne working in the library and reading to children is perfect, Miles working in this cozy winery, both getting to know each other, and Daphne making new friends and building an independent life. All of these aspects were really nice, but I expected to be sucked into the story and fly through the pages which unfortunately only happened in some parts. I still enjoyed this book, will most likely reread it and will also continue to read by from Emely Henry, but I will try not to get my hopes and expectations up in the future. ...weiterlesen

I really liked this book. If you are looking for a story that remains realistic and not over-the-top dramatic or “instalovey”, I think you found it in this book. I certainly did. It is funny, romantic, a slow burn, and just really heartwarming while still being realistic and keeping the attention of the reader, or at least my attention.
