Contradictory: disappointing if not enraging

What I expected/ hoped to be a humorous book about standing up for yourself when dating men turned out to be a book replicating damaging stereotypes. Whilst telling women to be confident and not accept disrespect, Argov suggest treating (or rather manipulating) men as if they're stubborn toddlers who you have to trick into doing chores and shouldn't be too hard on because then they'll lose interest in you. Praising them for every little thing they do is what is taught throughout the whole book. Simultaneously, men are described as natural hunters and providers which has been proven wrong numerous times by evolutionary scientists. However the quote that finally made me put the book down was: "Men are needier sexually. Women can control their sexual drives, whereas men are controlled by theirs." (page 159). Not only is that wrong but also incredibly harmful, considering it implies men - due to their very nature - aren't responsible for and thus cannot be held accountable for their actions. Generally, throughout the book sex is seen as an act mostly benefiting men and something women should prevent doing too early on in the because it will make men lose respect for them. Overall a very contradictory book full of weird manipulation tactics and damaging stereotypes.

Habe schon einig Tipps angewandt und es FUNKTIONIERT wirklich! Männer denken tatsächlich ganz anders als Frauen. Habe mir sogar das zweite Buch geholt. Nur zu empfehlen für jede Frau die immer MEHR für den Mann tut als sie sollte.
